The Union Territory of Jammu is set to witness the launch of a state-of-the-art pathology lab. TRUSTlab Diagnostics, first established in Hyderabad in 2021, has rapidly bloomed into a national asset with presence in eight cities and over 300 network partners. It is accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). Expanding its pan-India footprint, the lab is well poised to foray into the Jammu region through a high-tech regional lab.

The TRUSTlab internal process is streamlined for all departments to work synchronously, aligned with the company's vision of delivering the desired results. The all-India team operates under the leadership of Chairman and Managing Director Mr Venkata Suman Cherukuri, an internationally experienced technology executive skilled in business leadership, operations management, technology delivery and consultation. He has ensured that each lab and centre deliver the best standard of services. Speaking about the launch, Mr Cherukuri said, "I am very pleased that we are setting up our lab in Jammu. We hope to acquire the trust of the people of Jammu in a very short span of time, as we have done in all our other labs and centres. They can now expect the highest quality of diagnostic services, provided by us.

The Jammu lab will have departments like Biochemistry, Haematology, Assay & Hormones, Clinical Pathology, etc. There will also be about 7 to 8 collection centres in the coming months, that will be
able to service the entire population of the territory. Jammu has a growing, aspirational population with people increasingly adopting a modern-day lifestyle. These lifestyle changes tend to bring on disorders such as diabetes, hypertension, metabolic disorders and related illnesses. Healthcare providers are seeing increasing incidences of these disorders. Hence the need for high quality testing services is at an all-time high. Moreover, there is now awareness about the need for timely, accurate and speedy diagnoses. Often, even healthcare providers rely on diagnostic test results before suggesting treatment. This surge in demand has made way for a number of diagnostic labs to mushroom all across the territory. The industry is unregulated, hence each lab functions according to its own norms. There is no uniformity in quality, testing or pricing. To attract customers, labs may offer attractive deals with many tests for a low base price. There is, however, no way to authenticate the validity of their results.
