Healthcare Startup Aledade Secures $260 Million in Series F Funding Round to Advance Value-Based Care Initiatives
Aledada, a Bethesda, Md. – based network of independent primary care practices, closed a $260m Series F funding.
The round was led by new investor Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from Venrock, Avidity Partners, Omers Growth Equity, and Fidelity Management & Research Company.
The company intends to use the funds to further accelerate the growth of its primary care network and strategic alliances with national and regional health plans, while continuing to enhance the technology and support they provide to its partner practices and their patients.
Founded in 2014 and led by Farzad Mostashari, MD, CEO, Aledade is a public benefit corporation helping independent practices, health centers and clinics deliver primary care to their patients through its model, which includes data analytics, guided workflows, health care policy expertise, payer relationships and integrated care solutions delivered through Aledade Care Solutions.
Aledade has built a network of independent primary care practices in the U.S. with more than 1,500 independent primary care practices in 2023 spread across 45 states and the District of Columbia. Its more than 150 value-based care contracts collectively cover more than two million patients and more than $20 billion in total health care spending. The company now serves more than one million patients under the Medicare Shared Savings Program and nearly 250,000 patients under Medicare Advantage contracts with national and regional health plan partners.
