Venture Center has supported over 30 startups from across India working on key disability areas
Pune-based Venture Center, a not-for-profit technology business incubator hosted by CSIR–National Chemical Laboratory, has been recognised as the Best Assistive Technology Investor of the Year at the AssisTech Foundation (ATF) Awards 2025. The award, presented during the Bengaluru Tech Summit 2025, acknowledges Venture Center’s role as a key enabler in advancing assistive technologies (AT).
The ATF Awards are the country’s first and only national platform dedicated to celebrating innovation and leadership in accessibility and inclusion. Through ten awards across three categories — Emerging Startups, Established Startups, and Enablers — ATF recognises organisations and innovators driving progress in assistive technology.
Venture Center was recognised in the Enablers category for its sustained efforts in nurturing, mentoring, and funding startups developing innovative assistive technologies. Venture Center has supported over 30 AT startups from across India working on key disability areas — neurological, cognitive/learning, visual, speech & hearing, locomotive, and appearance. The solutions span four major product categories: surgical rehabilitation, rehabilitation, assistive products, and prevention of disabilities.
