Quantum Health Teams Up with Progyny for Family Building Benefits Offering

Progyny is now a “preferred partner” on Quantum’s Comprehensive Care Solutions platform, which is a group of benefits solutions that Quantum’s more than 500 employer clients can choose to work with.

Quantum Health, a healthcare navigation and care coordination company, is partnering with fertility company Progyny Health to bring a family-building benefits offering to employers, the companies announced.

Dublin, Ohio-based Quantum Health works with self-insured employers to help their employees understand and navigate their health insurance benefits. New York City-based Progyny provides family-building assistance through its network of providers, concierge patient support and pharmacy services. Its support is different depending on the user, said Dr. Janet Choi, chief medical officer of Progyny. It might mean egg freezing for those who aren’t ready to have a family, or understanding underlying medical conditions like diabetes in order to have a healthy pregnancy.

Progyny is now a “preferred partner” on Quantum’s Comprehensive Care Solutions platform, which is a group of benefits solutions that Quantum’s more than 500 employer clients can choose to work with. These solutions include Headspace Health for mental health, Cariloop for caregiving support and Hinge Health for musculoskeletal support. Progyny is the first solution for family building on the platform, and employers can elect to work with the company through “an accelerated contracting and implementation process,” said Shannon Skaggs, president of Quantum Health, in an email.

In addition, Progyny will be integrated into Quantum’s navigation and engagement platform, and members in need of family building support will be directed to Progyny’s services by Quantum’s care coordinators.

Skaggs added that Progyny was selected as a partner after an extensive review of companies, and that Quantum and the family building solution already share several clients, including two Fortune 100 employers. He did not name those clients.

“We are in constant communication with our clients regarding the benefit challenges, and having a comprehensive family building offering has become a key priority,” Skaggs said. “But employers also want that solution to be part of their larger navigation platform. This began our market evaluation, which requires us to look at a number of factors when selecting a Preferred Partner … Deep product integration, shared product roadmaps and member experience.”
