Bengaluru-based oncology startup Carer has announced its collaboration with Wholeleaf, a licensed medical cannabis and CBD company. This collaboration aims to further improve the quality of life of patients undergoing cancer treatment by offering products that can be seamlessly integrated into Carer's nutrition, physical therapy, and mental well-being services.

Wholeleaf is licensed by the Ayush ministry to legally manufacture and distribute their formulations pan India.

A recent report published by the British Medical Journal indicates that medicinal cannabis can safely alleviate cancer pain and mitigate the associated side effects of treatment. The study found that the use of medicinal cannabis significantly reduced pain intensity, suggesting it as a safe and complementary treatment option for providing adequate pain relief.

The collaboration between CARER and Wholeleaf aims to offer an integrated approach to cancer patients, combining services and products to optimise their well-being.

In addition to pain management, Wholeleaf's products also address other significant side effects such as sleep issues, anxiety, nausea, and fatigue, which are commonly faced by cancer patients.
